The Amazon Echo Show 2nd gen is Huge and looks Minimalistic, its design gives the retro feeling of the old CRT TVs, The Build quality is Robust and its made up of good quality materials.
The Fabric Design to the Back is soft and looks elegant, We have a Power Input Port at the Rear side of the Speaker, which can be connected with the Supplied 30W Power Adapter.
To the Top of the Speaker, we have three buttons, that are mapped for Muting the microphone, Increasing & Decreasing the Volume Levels.
Setting up the Amazon Echo show 2nd Gen
Setting up the Amazon Echo Show 2nd Gen is Very easy, After the first boot, you are presented with the setup screen, You can choose your language options, Connect to WiFi, Connect your Amazon account and you are good to go.

Sound & Microphone Quality
The Amazon Echo Show 2nd Gen features 2-inch premium drivers, a passive bass radiator, and a Dolby processing unit to deliver expansive stereo sound with deep, powerful lows and crisp highs. You can adjust the treble, mid, and bass levels using your voice, or set up multi-room music to play music across compatible Echo devices throughout your home.
In simple terms, the Echo is Pretty loud and offers great Bass effect, The volume levels go from 0 to 10, and even at the level 5 the speaker is quite loud for a Smart Speaker and when you turn the volume to 10 it feels like you are listening to music on a music system.
The Microphone Quality is Exceptional, With Eight Microphones, Beam – Forming Technology and Noise Cancellation, The Echo show can hear us from any direction even when music is playing (Check out the Above Unboxing Video, where we have shown the demo of the same), We tried the same from 15ft and 30ft away from the Speaker and it picked the voice easily.
For your privacy when you are not using the Amazon Echo Show 2nd Gen speaker, you have a convenient way to mute the Microphone, Just Press the Mute Button on the Top of the Echo Show and a yellow line appears on the bottom of the display which indicates the Microphone is Muted.

There are a lot of skills that Alexa can perform, and new Skills are being developed day by day, Alexa supports a wide range of Skills Such a Booking a Cab, Ordering Food, Playing Music, Etc
It also Supports Smarthome Products Such as Philips Hue Smart Bulbs, Syska Smart bulbs, Smart Plugs, Thermostats, Vaccum Cleaners, Security Cameras, Smart Hubs, Etc
We tried many Skills, Such as Setting an Alarm, Increasing & Decreasing the volume, Searching for Food Recipies, Getting the News Brief, Playing Music & Videos (Played Via Vimeo Website) – (Currently, there is no support for Native youtube skill but it can be accessed via the Brower.)
This is the Alexa App, that can be installed from the Android Play Store / Apple App Store, With the Alexa App, you can see & Configure the Device settings, Make Announcements, Calls to your linked echo devices (See the video for Demo), Read E-Books on the Echo Device, Enable New Alexa Skills. (If Concerned About Privacy, and you forgot to mute the Microphone, you can also view/delete the Voice Command history from the device settings.
Display Quality
The Amazon Echo 2nd Gen Features a 10.1 Inch Display to the Front which has (720P) HD Display, It gets very bright, and also the Colour on the display looks good enough. We also have a 5MP camera to the front for video calls, Which offers good Video Quality.
This is the Touchscreen interface, You can control the Brightness, Set Alarms, Check your Routines and Toggle the Smarthome devices connected to the Amazon Echo Show. Go to Setting and Configure / Change Settings.
