Asus Vivobook 15 – Design
The Asus Vivobook 15 Laptop has a pretty solid build. It is a lightweight laptop that`s packed in an ultralight chassis. It weighs in at 1.90 KGs, which is amazing given that its a performance laptop.
The laptop has a reinforced lid and it works like the side-impact protection beams in automobiles. These provide structural support for the lid, the panel, and the hinge joint, due to this the laptop feels sturdy.
It’s worth noting that it has a Sleek, reinforced metal chassis underneath the keyboard that provides a stable platform when typing and using the touchpad. Besides providing structural rigidity, it also strengthens the hinge joint and protects internal components.
Audio Quality
This laptop has the (ASUS Sonic Master) which is the combination of hardware, software, and audio tuning designed with the goal of giving the very best audio experience. A professional-grade codec ensures precise audio encoding and decoding; while amplifiers, large speakers, and resonance chambers perfectly suited to ASUS X509 ensure a powerful audio delivery and deeper bass.
Overall in our experience, the sound is really crisp and loud enough, the output via audio jack also works fine, although we found that the microphone is average and will get the job done when using it for video chats, recommend to use a headset while using for calls.
Keyboard & Trackpad
The Keyboard is spacious in size & is easy to type on when typing the keys give a tactile feel and good feedback, The function keys are spaced well, it is a full-size ergonomically-designed keyboard, all the Hotkeys are present on the laptop which can be used without pressing the function key, hence you can use it directly and it makes the overall typing experience good.
Display
The Asus Vivobook 15 comes with a 15.6″ (16:9) LED-backlit FHD (1920×1080) 60Hz Anti-Glare Panel. It has deep blacks & color pop out to be well and gets pretty bright, although we feel the display quality is average, for the cost fo the laptop we expected a better display.
The bezels are thin and the NanoEdge display gives the laptop a vast screen area for an immersive viewing experience. Its wide-view FHD panel features an anti-glare coating to reduce unwanted distractions from irritating glare and reflections, so you can truly focus on what’s in front of you.
Performance
The Version we are reviewing has a Core i7 8th Gen Processor which is clocked at 1.8 GHz, it has 8MB Cache memory and the processor goes up to up to 4.6 GHz and 4 Cores, this laptop comes with 8GB DDR4 Dual Channel RAM which is upgradeable up to 12GB RAM with a Storage: PCIe Gen 3×2 NVMe 512GB M.2 SSD + 1x 2.5-inch SATA slot storage expansion option, in the graphics part it houses an NVIDIA GeForce MX230 GDDR5 2GB VRAM Graphic Card.
As expected from such a laptop, the performance was top-notch, the Multitasking experience was smooth, The Apps/Games loaded quickly, especially the high intensive graphics games loaded quickly.
Benchmark Test
We Ran the Pass Mark Benchmark test on this Laptop and it Scored a Rating of 1734 Points, which is considered to be good enough.
The Benchmark tested the Laptop with intensive tasks and in Graphics Area this laptop performs well and is good enough for smooth Playback of Games.
4k Video Playback
The 4K videos in this laptop ran very smoothly, without any buffering or lag, Given the Hardware Capabilities of this laptop even 8K Videos can be played, Although not enough 8K Content is available but this Laptop would be Future Proof Laptop.

Battery Life & Charging
The notebook features a battery that is 3x the lifespan of standard lithium-ion batteries., In our review period, we got a Battery life of around 6 Hours with (continuous web surfing over Wi-Fi), and video streaming & and productivity apps. The best part of this laptop is these charges really quickly, We would say this the best windows laptop that we have seen till now that charges so quickly, it gets fully charged in around an hour or so.
Heating
As it is aluminum built, it heats up a bit when gaming and doing heavy tasks such as video rendering, video editing, etc – But as it has an Amazing Cooling System that Keeps the Laptop from overheating
Our Experience
We used this laptop for around 2 months as our primary laptop and feel that it’s an amazing laptop that is lightweight and the performance is top-notch, it would be a great laptop for people looking for laptops for Multimedia & Work purposes.
