My Experience
Setup
The WiFi Setup on the D-Link DIR-882 is Pretty easy and can be done with a Mobile , Connect the RJ45 cable Gievn by your ISP and connect it to the WAN Port of the WiFi Router ,just Follow the steps given in the WiFi Configuration card and you are good to go .
At first you get a simple Mobile interface through which you can configure and use Basic Settings like WIFI Bands Preference , Smart Connect , DNS , Guest WiFI ,etc .And If you need to configure advanced features such as Port Forwarding or Configure Firewall etc . You Can Login to Web interface ( Please see the Below Video to See how its Done)
Connectivity
The Range on the D-link DIR-882 was pretty good , i was easily getting my full internet speeds at 5ghz WiFI bands , Even at the Terrace ( Router Placed at Ground floor – Mu internet Speed 100Mbps ) , I got 2 bars of 5GHz Wi-Fi Signal and the speeds were around 70+ Mbps Upload and Download
The 2.4Ghz band had the best range i was able to get 2 bars of signal even after moving around 50 meter away from the home and i got 1 Bar signal at 100 meters away and the speed i got was 20mbps , So overall the Range on this D-Link DIR-882 Wifi router was stellar
Performance
As D-Link DIR-882 WiFI has a Simultaneous Dual-Band System it Deliver faster Wi-Fi speeds of up to 2,533 Mbps (800 Mbps on 2.4GHz + 1,733 Mbps on 5GHz) also it has the MU-MIMO : Which gives Simultaneous streaming on multiple devices without any hickups .
The Best Feature i Liked about this WiFI Router was the – Advanced AC SmartBeam : This Brings the dead zones back to life by delivering individual beams of bandwidth where you need it the most and hence you get more bandwith when you are streaming or gaming .
Verdict
Over all the D-Link DIR-882 WiFI Router is a Adavnced WiFi Router Specifically made to meet the needs of Power users , This Product is Idle for People who a lot of Online Gaming and Streaming ,and it would great for Large Houses and Small Offcies where many people Connect to WiFi and Use it Simultaneously .
